Modern life throws enough things our way to stress and bug us. We certainly dont need the creepy-crawly variety inviting themselves into our beds. They wont bite your leg off, but they can result in some pretty itchy skin irritations. Worst of all, they cause real anxiety and experiencing phantom itching is common. Shouldnt we be drifting off into dreamland rather than having our imaginations run wild? But in Yorkshire, we dont suffer fools or bedbugs lightly. Thats why were launching our ecoShire bedbug banishing mattresses with EcoShield technology. Based on oil extracted from a tree, wed say its a reet clever way to make a great comfy bed even better.

The science bit. All fibres and textile materials treated by EcoShield are wash-resistant, thanks to microcapsule technology. This technology permits the active ingredient to be released gradually over time, since the capsules only break open when using the mattress.

We love it. Insects dont! Eucalyptus Citriodora is a tree that grows in temperate and tropical places and oil is distilled and enriched from its leaves. This natural oil is well known to give relief from sinus infections, the common cold, bronchitis, flu and other respiratory diseases. Eucalyptus oil has anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties, which is why its often used in perfumes, lotions, deodorants, soaps and other hygiene products. EcoShield protects against many different insects, including: bedbugs, dust mites, mosquitoes and moths.

Minimal

Minimal self-assembly required, which is quite simple. The assembly involves the following steps:

Connecting the base: The base will be delivered in seperate parts (excluding single sizes). These need to be connected together, using the clips provided.

Adding the gliders or castors: The gliders or wheels (castors) need to be pressed into the bottom of the base.

Fixing the headboard (optional): If you have a headboard, it requires attaching to the divan base, by slotting it into pre-drilled holes and securing it the with supplied bolts.
