The product comes with a 1 year guarantee that covers any defects in materials or workmanship during the first year after purchase. After the first year, the guarantee transitions into a sliding warranty where the coverage decreases gradually over the 9 year period and the customer would need to contribute a increasing percentage of cost to the repair based on the age of the item.
