How much does bed assembly cost?

For example, a standard/double bed takes around 45 minutes there minimum charge is 1 hour for £52. Screwdriver professionals carry all the necessary tools and are covered by Public Indemnity insurance for your complete peace of mind.

How does Screwdriver work?

    1. Call Screwdriver on 0118 948 4400, freephone 0800 454828 or contact us through their online form.
    2. Tell them which flatpack item you’ve purchased, giving them as much information as possible (retailer, product name, product code, catalogue page if relevant etc.)
    3. If the item is in their flatpack database (and most of them are), they we’ll give you an instant fixed price itemised quote for their assembly service.
    4. If you’d like to proceed, they we’ll agree the date and time of their visit. They will also provide you with an estimate of how long the assembly will take and the name of your Screwdriver professional so you can check their ID on arrival.
    5. Sit back and relax. Their on the way. And in the unlikely event that there should be a delay, they we’ll call you to let you know when to expect them.

Please take the following steps to ensure our operative can do an efficient and effective assembly.

Make sure the delivery persons place boxes in the room where the finished product will stand or outside the door on the same level of the house.

Check the packing list/invoice to confirm that everything has been delivered and is in good condition. Any apparent damage to packaging should be checked since items inside may be damaged.

If you discover an incomplete or damaged delivery, call their office to reschedule your assembly. If items are missing or damaged and the job cannot be completed,their minimum call-out charge of £52 will apply.

Move existing furniture, if necessary, to clear adequate space for assembly.

    • Bedstar is not responsible for any issues caused by third parties, including missed or late appointments, damages or required repairs. Any such instances can be taken up separately with Screwdriver.
