What mattress firmness is right for me?

Do I need a specific mattress for my bed frame?

The exception is slatted frames — if the slats are more than 7cm apart you may need a sturdier mattress or a slatted base insert. What does spring count actually mean?

Spring count refers to the number of individual pocket springs in a king size mattress. Higher count generally means more targeted support — but it's not the only factor in quality. A 1,000 spring mattress from a reputable brand will often outperform a cheaper 3,000 spring mattress. The gauge of the springs, the fillings above them, and overall build quality matter just as much as the count.

How do I know if my mattress is too soft or too firm?
