It is firm but with the top it softens out the firmness while still providing support. I have bad hips due to hypermobility and it has made my sleep so much better. I love lying on this mattress it feels amazing
Unlike more expensive spring beds, where you won't be able to feel the inner springs, you do feel them at the edge of the mattress but doesn't affect the comfort or sleep in any way.
For a couple of years now I have had to have a cheap memory foam topper, as I get pressure poin pain in my hips. Not so with this, I have done away with the topper. Other reviewers have joked about difficulty getting up in the morning, it's no joke it's true, this is a first class product, it is not to firm and not to soft. Can't fault it.
This is a very good product, comfortable, supportive and extremely good value for money. I'm very happy with my purchase and if I am in the market for a new mattress in the future, this is the supplier I shall come to first.

Got mattress for my mother who suffers with a bad back. She says it is very supportive and comfy and has relieved back pain during the night and gets a really good night sleep.
I brought this for 14 year old daughter and she loves it, she actually love's it so much it may well soon morph in to her body as she spends so much time lying and reading on it, as she says it is so comfortable.
My mum said this is the most comfortable mattress shes had especially as she has a pin in her hip which makes it tricky to get comfy
very comfortable and supportive, great sleep the first night, even better the second night. I don't know how long it will last, but at this price it would make an ideal guest room mattress, or a main mattress like mine as it wouldn't be outrageous to replace in 2-3 years.
